DJ Trackmaster Biography — Chicago House DJ
For DJ Trackmaster, authentic House Music isn’t just what I play—it’s where my story began.
Born and raised in Chicago, I came of age during the birth of a musical movement that would change dance floors around the world. Long before digital controllers, streaming playlists, and sync buttons, I learned the craft on vinyl—beatmatching by ear, reading crowds, and understanding that every great set is about creating a journey.
Growing up in Chicago gave me a front-row seat to the evolution of house music. The sounds, the clubs, the DJs, and the culture shaped not only my musical taste but also my approach behind the decks. Influenced by pioneers such as Frankie Knuckles, Farley “Jackmaster” Funk, Ron Hardy, Steve “Silk” Hurley, Fast Eddie, Marshall Jefferson, Louie Vega, and Carl Cox, I developed a deep appreciation for music that connects people through rhythm, soul, and energy.
Today, DJ Trackmaster, a Chicago House DJ, blends authentic Chicago House with modern Deep House… Every performance and every mix is built with intention—combining timeless classics, underground gems, and contemporary grooves while honoring the culture that inspired them.
Whether performing live, producing music, or creating mixes for listeners around the world, my mission remains the same:
As DJ Trackmaster, my goal is simple: keep the dance floor moving.
House music has always been more than entertainment. It is culture. It is community. It is freedom.
Every time I step behind the decks, I strive to honor that legacy while sharing it with a new generation of listeners.
Welcome to the sound that started it all.

My Story — DJ Trackmaster
For more than four decades, House Music has been part of my life. From learning on vinyl and experiencing Chicago’s emerging house music culture through neighborhood dances and local DJs to returning today with a renewed mission to preserve and share authentic House Music, every chapter has shaped the DJ I am today.
The Art of the Turntables
DJ Trackmaster’s approach to DJing was shaped by years of intensive vinyl practice and live performance. Developing his craft through Chicago’s house music culture and later Michigan’s college DJ scene, he learned to treat the turntables as instruments rather than simply playback devices.
His performances combined seamless musical blends with rehearsed turntable routines featuring scratching, crossfader cuts, two-copy doubling, extended breaks, and creative record manipulation. These techniques became part of his live sets, allowing him to move between sustained musical journeys and high-energy performance showcases.
That versatility also carried into DJ competitions, including a second-place finish in Michigan in a multi-round, crowd-judged competition.
Today, DJ Trackmaster brings that foundation into the digital era, combining the musical instincts developed on vinyl with modern performance technology. His signature philosophy remains the same: use the decks creatively to transform familiar recordings into something new.

My Philosophy
“Technology changes. Trends change. Great music doesn’t.”
I believe the best DJ sets tell a story. Every transition, every groove, and every record should build emotion, energy, and connection. My goal is not simply to play songs—it is to create moments people remember. Authenticity, musical knowledge, and respect for the roots of House Music are the foundation of everything I do.
My connection to House Music is built on decades of listening, learning, and experiencing the culture firsthand. From Chicago’s early House Music scene to today’s global community, that history continues to influence how I select music and build every set. As DJ Trackmaster, my goal is to connect the foundation of classic Chicago House with the evolving sounds of Deep, Soulful, Afro, and modern House Music while keeping the original spirit of the music at the center.
My approach behind the decks reflects that history. I believe a great House Music set should have a beginning, a build, a peak, and a release. Rather than simply playing one track after another, I focus on smooth transitions, musical storytelling, and giving each record room to breathe. That philosophy connects the way I learned to DJ in Chicago with the way I perform and create mixes today.
